City Winery: Dinner and a Show
Edible Nashville
Tuck into a glass of wine and a proper dinner while enjoying a show at City Winery.
Haven’t been to City Winery in a bit? Time to change that. This longstanding music venue has a new chef and some slappin’ food to enjoy at a candlelit table in front of live entertainment.
Will Green, a Culinary Institute of America–trained chef, joined City Winery Nashville this February after stints at the St. Louis location and Disney, where he helped launch new restaurant concepts.
In Nashville, the chef and guitarist has revamped the menu, fine-tuning logistics for dinner service in a 90-minute showtime. A roster of handheld dishes and small plates, including charcuterie with cheese and flatbreads topped with hot honey or artichokes, make convenient, shareable bites. But want something heartier? Rigatoni vodka or smashburgers loaded with prosciutto-and-pesto or truffle, along with a glass of housemade wine, hit all the right notes.

On-site urban winemaker Michelle Foletta Bell sources grapes from some of California, Oregon and upstate New York’s most acclaimed vineyards.
“Our grapes come from some of the finest vineyards around the world, chosen for the varieties that grow best in each region—what people often refer to as terroir,” explains owner, founder and CEO Michael Dorf. “With an exceptional winemaking team, we’re able to deliver real value in every glass, and our wines-on-tap program allows us to do so in the most sustainable way possible. As a company, we’re saving tens of thousands of bottles each year. We’re very proud of that effort, and we think it shows in the glass.” Go to a show, dinner or to host your next party.
