Cheddar Chive Scones

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (2 ounces) grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 8 tablespoons cold butter, cut into small pieces
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped chives
  • 2/3 cup milk

Preparation

1. Preheat overn to 425F. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and. Stir in cheese. Add butter and mix until mixture resembes coarse meal. Add chives and milk and mix until a sticky dough comes together. Don't over mix. With a ice cream scoop (or spoon) scoop dough into 12 scones. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 12 scones.
