Pulled pork from Martin's BBQ makes life in the kitchen enormously easier and tastier.

Up your game in the kitchen and support local BBQ joints with a pound of pulled pork.

When I worked at Cooking Light, we had a chef in the test kitchen that was a BBQ master. Every weekend he was smoking pork and perfecting his sauces. He would take orders for pulled pork every Friday. With a pound of that pork in my fridge, life was good. It was super versatile and made any dish--pasta, pizza, eggs--better.  Almost all BBQ restaurants in the Nashville area have carry out pork or chicken. This is a great way to up your game in the kitchen and support our local food businesses at the same time. While one of our favorite BBQ places, the Gambling Stick, is closed for the time being, many other places are open, including Martin's BBQ and Bolton's. —Jill Melton, Editor
