Meatloaf takes most of us back to childhood or at least a diner we strolled into sometime in our lives. This one is from MacHenry's Meat & Three on Murfreesboro Pike, where Chef Stephen Wilkerson and team cook everything from scratch every single day. Its named after the owner's grandfather, Charles "MacHenry" Banks, who was an avid farmer, family man, veteran, and friend to anyone who would return his friendly wave.
MacHenry's meatloaf is just as you remember, meaty, savory, and served with a dynamite BBQ sauce. And of course, it's best sliced cold on a sandwich the next day. Even the pictures will make your mouth water. Wander by and get some or pack a picnic with a loaf made at home.
