"Uppa Creek" Orange Tequila Cocktail

This cocktail developed by J.Jackson Mobile Mixologist, was a hit at our 2022 Creek Dinner. And too many of them would definitely put you uppa creek. It used Codigo Tequila, who was also a sponsor of the dinner. Tickets to our 2023 Creek Dinner available here. 

    Ingredients

    • 1 ounceCodigo Blanco Tequila
    • 1 ounceCold pressed ginger juice
    • 1 ounceOrange peel reduction*
    • .5 ounceLemon juice
    • 2 ounces tangerine seltzer
    • Ice
    • Fresh basil

    1. Combine all ingredients. Garnish with basil. 

    *To prepare Orange Peel Reduction, wash and chop  4 whole oranges. Combine with 3 cups sugar in a freezer ziplock bag and store in the refrigerator overnight.  The next day, combine orange sugar mixture in a large pot with 4 cups water. Heat until combined and sugar is dissolved, pressing to extract the orange juice.  Strain out solids and store in refrigerator up to 1 week.
