Nothing signals summer more than the smell of fresh basil. Easy to grow in pots or a small garden, we have a number of varieties from Thai, to sweet to Genovese that we chuck in most all our warm weather dishes from pasta, to tarts to salads.

It plays great with fresh sweet corn and of course tomatoes. It works as well cooked as it does raw.
Oh, and we also cut it and plop in ball jars for the house as well. Enjoy!
