March Wine Series at Yolan
Beginning this Saturday, Yolan at The Joseph Hotel will embark on a comprehensive tour of Italy's incredible wine regions. Envisioned by wine expert Cathy Mantuano and lead sommelier Jon Kearns, the series promises an exquisite journey through a range of varietals that spotlight the nuances and flavor profiles that make Italy’s wine culture so vast and exciting. Each month, the team will focus on a new region, leading intimate, safely distanced tastings on select Saturday afternoons. Yolan will also host a multi-course dinner that dives further into the region’s wines as they are paired with the award-winning Italian cuisine of Chef Tony Mantuano.

Guests will explore the classic wines of Sicily, from the famed volcanic pours of Mt. Etna to its surrounding regions in this exclusive wine tasting at Yolan. Sicilia “The New School” Wine Tasting

At this tasting, guests will discover a new generation of Sicilian winemakers as they taste some of the most exciting pours from newly discovered, forward-thinking innovators. The tasting includes four wines and cheese. Space is limited to eight guests, who will be seated at safe social distance. $65 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity.

Featuring pours from some of the most exciting and innovative winemakers of Italy as well as the famous volcanic wines of Mt. Etna and its surrounds, guests will experience a seven-course celebration of the island by award-winning Chef Tony Mantuano, with superior wine selections paired by Cathy Mantuano. The evening’s menu features a variety of treasures from the sea, such as red prawns, sea urchin, octopus, cuttlefish, and clams, and the menu culminates in Capretto in Crespelle with goat, crepes, chives, and Marzapane with toasted almond sponge, amaretto-poached pear, bitter orange mascarpone, and burnt honey jam. Space will be extremely limited due to safe distancing. $295 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity.
