Getting carry-out doesn't sound very romantic and lukewarm food by the time you get home is not sexy either. But after the year of COVID, restaurants mastered out how to prepare food for portabllity and taste. This year restaurants are presenting some cook at home options that sound divine. Here are our picks:

Sinema  @sinemanashville
This Valentine's Day, Sinema is offering a three-course meal to enjoy at home, packaged for 2-6 people. Included are three appetizers: endive, frisee, date, and walnut salad; baked crab cakes with creole aioli; and housemade fettucine with truffle alfredo, heirloom tomato, and kale, choice of scallop or pan-seared ribeye entree, and Sinema's brown butter chocolate chip skillet cookie stuffed with chocolate ganache and served with caramel whip. Drooling, yet? $150 for 2-3 people and $275 for 4-6 people. For more information and full menu, visit their website.

The Heimerdinger Foundation  @heimerdingerfoundation
Support The Heimerdinger Foundation's mission of Meals 4 Health and Healing by pre-ordering a 4-course Valentine's Day meal by February 8th. Each meal comes with entry to a virtual musical event with Chuck Wicks. Don't forget to add a bottle of wine to your meal! To see prices and entree options and place your order, visit their special event page.

Rolf & Daughters  @rolfanddaughters
The beloved Germantown spot Rolf & Daughters will be offering a four-course meal for 2, consisting of a vibrant red beet salad, succulent beef cheek agnolotti with mustard glaze and black truffle, mushroom and ricotta tortelloni with smoked cream, pastured chicken with preserved lemon and garlic confit, and rose and vanilla panna cotta. Sounds romantic to us. The menu is $125 and available for take out on February 13th and 14th, but it is not available to be pre-ordered. View the full menu here.

Josephine  @josephineon12th
Chef Andy Little and the team at Josephine are preparing 4-course meals for pickup February 12-14. Indulge in cream of crab soup with potato rolls, a roasted beet salad, your choice of beef tenderloin or lobster risotto with Brussels sprouts, and chocolate and Luxardo cherry cake. Hen of the Woods  @hen_ofthewoods
Local caterer Mallory Grimm believes food is the best vehicle for love. And what better way to show the love than a cozy brunch? Order a pre-fixe menu for 2 or a la carte for delivery on February 13th to heat and eat on the 14th. To see the menu and order, visit here.

Husk  @husknashville
Couples and friends alike can preorder this 4-course Valentine's Day feast full of dishes carefully crafted and prepped by chef Katie Coss. Preorder online or via phone for pickup on February 13th. Start with pickled shrimp lettuce wraps to enjoy while dinner is cooking, and move on to a whole stuffed trout, prepped and ready to roast. For sides, graze on glazed winter carrots and Anson Mills Farro Risotto. And when all is said and done, indulge in olive oil cake with blackberries and Amortentia cocktails by bar manager, Adam Morgan. $100 serves 2.

Folk  @goodasfolk
Elevated comfort food, anyone? Or perhaps you'd like a vegetarian option with all the taste and none of the compromise? The folks at Folk have a three-course meal available for pre-order only that consists of a = trio of vegetable-forward starters served with fresh sourdough bread and seaweed butter, mushroom and swiss chard lasagna, and chocolate mousse with cocoa nibs and cherry. Available for 2 or 4 people, but they will go fast, so be sure to pre-order here and don't skip the cocktails - the Shiso Into You with vodka, St. Germain, red shiso, grapefruit, and lime sounds especially tempting. Pickup on February 14th.
