2021 Creek Dinner at Hachland Hills

Romance in the creek at the historic Hachland Hills

Our creek dinner on August 20 & 21 at Hachland Hill in Joelton, was gorgeous and memorable and dreamy, full of warm folks and new friends.

While both evenings were magical, the very wet one on Saturday compelled the relocation of the dinner tables from the creek bed to the creekside barn, a picturesque 1800’s tobacco barn with an open air balcony extending over the clear, spring-fed, flowing waters below. That night cocktail hour was in the creek and dinner in the cozy barn, as magical as the creek itself.

Chefs Carter Hach of Hachland Hill, Nathan Gifford of Giffords Bacon and our own Skylar Bush sourced the best local ingredients to craft dishes that  ranged from smoked pork to tomato salad to blueberry cobbler with sweet corn gelato from Nash Family Creamery. And, to ensure that thirst was sated along with appetite, some seriously tasty cocktails were on hand, compliments of Insolito Tequila, Uncle Nearest and guest mixologist, Mike Wolfe. Also available were Deer Crossing and I Believe in Nashville, the former a refreshing helles lager and the latter an equally refreshing Southern Peach hard seltzer, both from Little Harpeth Brewing.
