Can't find all-purpose flour? These recipes use almond flour instead, and happen to be gluten-free. 

Interesting trends have happened during the pandemic. Bread baking being one of them. And along with that, a shortage of flour and yeast. Toilet paper and wipes are hard to find, sure. But flour and yeast have proven to be the most obscure, which is maddening for us.  Why a resurgence in bread baking? Maybe because we have time at home or because there's no aroma quite as comforting as bread, or because every culture has their traditional bread per this story on Marketplace on NPR. Regardless this flour shortage had us scampering for baked goods that used alternative flours, namely almond flour. Here are five recipes that rely on almond flour, and are just as good if not better than their wheat flour counterparts. Oh yes, and they're gluten free.
