Share a Share –We strive to make fresh, locally grown produce available to as many of our neighbors as possible. The goal of this program is to provide families in need with access to a CSA share. We are collecting donations that will be used to subsidize a CSA share for those who would otherwise be unable to afford the cost. All donations are appreciated and will go towards providing fresh, healthy produce to low-income families. Thank you in advance for your support.

Rosie Bell Farm
Rosie Belle Farm CSA members are "shareholders" in the production of the farm for six months, during which time they receive a weekly basket of farm goods in exchange for a membership fee. Our food is grown naturally...no chemicals, no herbicides. Our animals are raised lovingly.....with respect, kindness, and deep appreciation for their contribution to the sustainability of the Farm.
The Rosie Belle Farm CSA is decidedly different from other CSA's as we provide substantially more than seasonal fruits and vegetables. Rather, we offer a share of the full bounty of the farm....We make our own goat cheeses and cow cheeses. Our hens--both meat hens and laying hens--- have the run of the farm....the free ranging lifestyle results in the production of delicious eggs and meat that REALLY tastes like chicken! We offer sweet raw clover honey, jams and preserves, raw milk (both cow and goat) and a selection of yogurts. We prepare a delightful array of home baked breads that will rival those found in your favorite bakery...Ciabatta, Seed and Nut, Rye, Rustic Farm White, Cinnamon Raisin, Honey Nut, and beyond!
We offer an ever changing weekly selection of meats....chicken, pork, beef and lamb..... all lovingly raised free ranging on our pastures. Finally, because the Farmer's Wife likes to cook, you will see a ready made meal or two each week, depending upon the vagaries of the farm and the whim of the Chef. Each item has a point value and YOU choose what you'd like in your basket! Gluten Free? No problem! Vegan? Not an issue! Our selection is so varied that you will be able to choose from a variety of offerings to satisfy the most discerning consumer.
Delivery is available throughout Nashville for a minimal $5 fee and we offer Half Share and Full Share Options starting at $60 per week.
Hill & Hollow is located across the state line in Edmonton, KY, but once a week on Saturdays, they bring a truckload of beautiful produce for pick-up at the Nashville Farmers’ Market. Over the course of 20 weeks, subscribers receive the seasonal bounty from the farm, as produce reaches perfect ripeness. Much of the farm is worked using traditional methods to tend and harvest short rows by hand, “so subscribers support the old ways as well.”
Sugar Camp Farm
2016 is the first year for the Sugar Camp CSA. To Jesse Higginbotham and Lizzie Wright, being a member of a CSA means more than just receiving food each week. It means you are supporting two people who are learning how to farm sustainably on a small-scale, an endangered profession. It means supporting the young people who come to work for us in their endeavors to learn about farming. It means developing rich friendships with our members, a community that is excited about eating and cooking high quality food, knowing where that food comes from and how it's grown.
They will be offering a couple of CSA options this year and add-ons. Pick-ups will be at the Richland Farmers' Market Saturdays, and at PRB on Charlotte Tuesdays 5-7. They are open to working with those with limited financial means. All options may be purchased at our online store or purchased via check or cash (send us an email at sugarcampfarmtn@gmail.com if you prefer this option).
Bloomsbury Farm is nestled in the hills between Smyrna and Nolensville, TN. Our greenhouse grows all the sprouts, wheatgrass and micro-greens year round. Vegetables and herbs are also a large part of the operation, which are grown from March through November. New additions to the farm are a variety of Heritage chickens and everyone is looking forward to the eggs soon to come. (from their website)
Fresh Harvest consists of two farms: Drury Family Farm and Turnbull Creek Organic Farm. Their subscription service allows you to pick the products you want on Sunday night for delivery on Wednesday. Products include a variety of vegetables, meats, bread, cheese, and flowers. Pick-up at Trinity Church in Green Hills, the farm in Bon Aqua, and at Thompson’s Station in Franklin.
For those who just can't wait for summer, Delvin Farms offers a spring CSA for April and May, which includes cool-season crops such as lettuce, kale, arugula, radishes, broccoli, cabbage, Swiss chard, onions, strawberries and asparagus. The farm, located in College Grove, grows over 60 varieties of produce, and a typical week’s box will feature 6 to 12 varieties of fresh vegetables. In addition to over 15 pick-up locations covering East Nasvhille to Bellevue, Delvin Farms also offers home delivery to limited zip codes using Rush Bicycle Messengers.
Athenas Harvest
Our CSA: If you become a member of our 2018 CSA, you'll be bringing our farm to your table and enjoying fresh, healthy produce every week (or every other week for "half" shares) for 25 weeks, starting the week of May 7, and ending in November. We give our CSA a 2 to 3 week hiatus in August and/or early September [exact dates TBD], which gives our customers a break, and also gives us time to put in a really good fall planting of crops. CSA customers will get 25 weeks of produce regardless of the number of hiatus weeks we use in August/early-September.
You'll get a few cool season items at the beginning and end of the season, plus your summer favorites, and maybe a few things you haven't tried before! Check out our Harvest Dates Chart to get an idea of what you will get when. We'll provide recipes and storage/preservation information throughout the season to help sort out any kitchen kerfuffles, and you can always ask us questions via email (or call in an emergency).
Everything in your CSA boxes will be free from synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and GMO's, which maybe isn't necessary, but which sure makes us farmers and our land happier (and hopefully makes you feel better too). We're proud of the food we grow, and we hope you'll share some with your friends and family, as we do with ours. Though we have not yet pursued organic certification due to costs that are increasingly geared towards larger scale farms than ours, we do follow all of the rules, and enjoy telling anyone that will listen about our sustainable farming techniques.
A Full Share (for a family of three or four, serious cooks, solid vegetarian eaters, or people who like putting food by), consists of 1 CSA box (or paper grocery bag size) valued ~$30/box (give or take a couple of dollars depending on the type of share you select). Each box will contain 6 to 10 vegetable/fruit varieties each week. (Likely on the lower side early in the season, and on the higher end later in the season).
Half Shares (perfect for couples and singles) are the same as the full share described above, but only delivered every other week (we’ll schedule with you to determine which sequence of weeks you will be on).

Katharos Farm: Meat CSAs
Katharos is one of just a few farms in the country that base everything on purity and stewardship. Purity: Local feed, verified to have no chemicals. They pay to have every batch of feed tested. Stewardship: They don't ship. They use moveable, nonintrusive infrastructure. They mimic nature to recreate the exact same environment found in the wild, in short they let the animals express their “animalness.” They also use NO chemicals on the property. The animals, for the most part, maintain the pasture, create a healthy and natural soil disturbance, and most importantly fertilize. Katharos farms offers a meat CSA to consumers at katharos.com. This year you can choose from a variety of meat CSA’s featuring all chicken, and chicken, sausage, pork. They offer 3 options at 3 different price points, all running from April through September.
Eaton's Creek Organics
Eaton's Creek Organics (ECO) is a certified-organic, community-based farm serving middle Tennessee by growing vegetables, herbs and berries of the highest quality and taste, freshness and nutrition. They believe in the importance of sustainable agriculture in their local economy and that all people deserve to access to fresh, wholesome (healthful, nourishing) food.

Barefoot Farmer at Long Hungry Creek Farm
Jeff Poppen, also known as the Barefoot Farmer, is the owner and operator of one of the oldest and largest organic farms in Tennessee located in Red Boiling Springs. They deliver their produce (which you can choose each week) to a location in Berry Hill. Read our story on Jeff here.
When you support us, our farm is your farm. We encourage you to participate in farm activities: hikes, picnics, swimming, camping and planting potatoes. It’s a beautiful place with un-logged forests and a clear creek winding past bluffs and a cave. About one third of the farm’s 200+ acres are rolling meadows and hay fields which, with our herd of cattle, sustain the fertility of the farm. Through CSAs small organic farms thrive, and city folks get the freshest food possible. Our CSA members enjoy:
- Biodynamic food, at competitive organic prices, direct from the farm
- More than 80 varieties of vegetables, herbs and flowers grown here each year
- Sharing vegetables and recipes with friends and neighbors
- Belonging to a community of people who also care about quality produce and supporting local organic agriculture
- And a connection with the farm and farmers who grow your food
- Access to additional vendors who sell their products at our CSA
Join our CSA To join our CSA you must pay a membership fee of $50. This fee secures your place and demonstrates your commitment. This is a one-time fee, and gives you a lifetime membership in the farm. So if you take a year or two off from the program, and then choose to come back, you will not be charged again, (but you may have to get in the queue).
