This cocktail from Husk's Bar Manager, Adam Morgan celebrates two delightfully bitter and comforting things: coffee and amaro. It's rich, brooding flavor makes it very popular during these cooler months.

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce tequila
  • 1 ounce Mr. Black amaro
  • 1 ounce chilled coffee
  • 1/2 ounce coffee cordial*
  • 1/4 ounce Oloroso sherry
  • pinch salt
  • dash Angostura bitters

Preparation

1.  Add all ingredients to a shaker. Add ice and shake. Strain into cocktail glass. 

2.  Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg. 

 

*To prepare coffee cordail, combine equal parts sugar and hot coffee and add 1/2 ounce vanilla liqueur.
