Spiced Brown Sugar Syrup

This spiced syrup is perfect for holiday cocktails as well as coffee drinks.

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup turbinado sugar
    • 1 cup water
    • 1/2 vanilla bean
    • 3 cloves
    • 1 cinnamon stick

    Preparation

    1. Heat water in saucepan and add sugar and spices. Bring to a simmer, stirring until sugar is dissolved.

    2.Remove from heat.  Let stand for 1 hour. Remove vanilla bean, cloves and cinnamon stick. Pour into a jar. Keep in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
