Jesse Goldstein, also know as the "Food Sheriff," has spent his entire professional career in the food and beverage industry. Beginning as a chef and transitioning into marketing, graphic design and branding, he's built a reputation for his work on projects such as the Loveless Cafe, 3st of the Month, Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint and more.

We were thrilled to have him join us for Edible Kitchen where he demonstrated his recipe for Marinated Cucumber & Peach Salad. This recipe incorporates lots of mouth-watering ingredients, but we are particularly excited about the peaches that are in season. Jess was full of tips, including how to use a simple inexpensive plastic mandolin to effortlessly slice the cucumbers and peaches, (we went straight home  and pulled out ours), seeding cucumbers and how to make the salad taste as flavorful as if it had sat for 24 hours (heat up the dressing). See all of the tips in this short video!

Photo 2: Jesse's Marinated Cucumber and Peach Salad. Heating up the honey-vinegar mixture first allows the flavors of the vinaigrette to penetrate the fruit, mimicking the flavor of a salad that has sat overnight. Genius.
