Nashville Fire & Flavor Competition 9/12

Nashville Fire & Flavor Competition 9/12

📅 Event Date:

September 12, 2026

📍 Location:

Travellers Rest Historic House Museum

636 Farrell Parkway

Saturday by the Fire at Nashville Fire & Flavor

Saturday is when the fire really heats up at Nashville Fire & Flavor.

Spend the day at Travellers Rest Historic House Museum experiencing **live-fire cooking, fresh-off-the-fire tastings, pitmasters, outdoor-cooking personalities, barbecue and grilling vendors, music and competition.

Pat Martin, host of Life of Fire, joins Nashville Fire & Flavor Saturday only, giving guests another opportunity to get closer to the people, techniques and stories behind great barbecue and outdoor cooking.

And keep your eyes on some of the youngest cooks at the event.

The Future of Q Live Fire Cooking Team—Clayton Dixon of Kentucky, Rae “Lil Gringa” Barker of Texas, Brooklyn Moody of Nashville, and Jacey “Bugsy Q” of Mississippi—will step onto the competition field Saturday and compete alongside and against adult cooks.

These young pitmasters are also contributors to **Future of Q Magazine**, helping represent the next generation of barbecue. During the event, they will also share what they know through **kid-focused cooking demonstrations**, giving younger guests a chance to learn from young cooks already working the fire, competing and sharing their passion for outdoor cooking.

Come watch the pits in action. Meet the cooks. Taste the food. Bring the kids. And experience a side of the **barbecue industry** you don’t get from simply ordering a plate at a restaurant.
