Two Local Shops We Love

Whether you’re buying holiday gifts or just looking for the all occasion card or candle, keep it local at two of our favorite shops.
The Golden Slipper is an adorable store in the heart of Germantown run by the equally adorable Abbey Moore, the lifestyle blogger behind The Perfect Little Life. The store is chockful of a thoughtfully curated selection of local artisans, home goods, candles, plants, snacks and about anything else you can think of. It has a terrific kitchen section with a coffee bar in the back too. As Abbey says, consider us your neighborhood “Bou-Dega”.
Gift Horse Nachville
We proudly feature art and design from independent artists and illustrators across the globe.
Gift Horse is a gift shop with a focus on paper goods and unique gifts. We specialize in greeting cards, art prints, and show posters, with a large selection of locally made goods. We have a section of Nashville-themed gifts, an area for children’s books and toys, a variety of tshirts, and handcrafted jewelry. We proudly feature art and design from several independent artists and illustrators across the globe.
Gift Horse is the creation of Jessica Maloan Vastagh. Graphic designer, printmaker and co-founder of Porter Flea, Jessica knew she wanted to provide a place in her community to showcase the work of independent artists and offer uncommon and affordable gifts of all kinds.
After leaving the craft fair circuit, the opportunity presented itself to open a brick and mortar store. Teaming up with her husband, designer printmaker Andy Vastagh of Boss Construction, they opened their doors in August 2016 in the Shoppes on Fatherland.
