Setting Your Holiday Table: 8 Fresh Ideas

Place setting from our Fall Farm Dinner at West Glow Farm on October 24th, 2020.

Whether your table is large or small this year, we’ve gathered some holiday table ideas to get the festive juices flowing. Here are some ideas inspired from our Farm Dinners.

We draw from nature and what’s in season to set our beautiful farm dinner and event tables. Take inspiration from what is around and local (or perhaps, sentimental) to set yours.

Placecards can be made from traditional paper or you can get creative and grab just about anything – miniature bud vases with wire photo holders, miniature pumpkins, real or felt leaves, you name it. Or with these local apples from our 2024 Fall Farm Dinner.

Colored glassware is an easy way to add a pop of color without being overwhelming. Mix and match your pieces by stopping by small consignment, antique, or boutique stores.

Items from the pantry come in handy as well. Think bundles of herbs, cinnamon sticks, vanilla beans, etc.

The natural colors of fall are the perfect place to start. Simply look outside.

Flowers, flowers, flowers. Use mix and match vases and other containers, such as this wood box from our 2020 Fall Farm Dinner at West Glow Farm.

Get the kids involved in place settings. Rocks actually. make great place settings, such as these we used at our 2023 Summer Creek Dinner.

Get creative with napkins. you can fold them with a menu tucked inside, place them under the plates to hang down from the tie into a casual knot.
