Jungle Bird from Liquor Lab

Enjoy a classic tropical cocktail combining aged dark rum, Campari, pineapple and lime juice for a balanced summer drink that’s equal parts refreshing and bitter, curtesy of Liquor Lab. Liquor Lab offers hands-on mixology classes and events in Nashville.

Jungle Bird (Serves 1)

Ingredients:
1 oz Aged Dark Rum
1/2 oz Campari
1/2 oz Lime Juice
1 oz Pineapple Juice
1/2 oz Demerara Syrup(Demerara sugar and water)

Garnish: Pineapple Wedge

Instructions:
1. For the Demerara syrup combine equal parts sugar and water in a sauce pan on medium heat.
2. Stir until sugar is dissolved and allow to cool.
3. Add ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake for 10-15 seconds.
4. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
5. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and enjoy!
