Grazing the Greenway

Bike this urban section of Nashville’s greenways for great bites and brews.
Of the 110 miles of greenway trails in Nashville, one of our favorites is the Cumberland River Greenway, a 9-mile protected path winding from Metro Center to Germantown to Rolling Mill Hill. Abounding with food and drink, you’ll also take in modern sculptures and historic ruins, tunnels and boardwalks, swing sets and solitude, and the Nashville Chew Crew—a herd of sheep grazing to control the growth of vegetation along the levee.
Start at Ted Rhodes Golf Course snack shop, stop in the Neuhoff District in Germantown for ice cream, tacos, pastries or a beer, and end at Pinewood Social with fried broccoli and sunflower aioli, a dip in the pool or some bowling.
