Brew Hop: Beer by Foot
Jill Melton
Spotlighting Nashville’s local breweries one mile at a time.
We’ll pass on the beer crawl, but will gladly partake in The Hop Walk. This 3-hour
guided walking tour (that includes 60 ounces beer) covers 1 ½ miles and four local
breweries in Nashville’s Pie Town, adjacent to downtown. Learn about history, local
flavor and of course local beer.
It’s part of Music City Brew Hop, a family-owned trolley bus founded by Nashville native
Adam Smith in 2021. Their mission? Share the very essence of Music City with locals and
visitors alike, all while highlighting local craft beers. The Brew Hop Loop, which runs
Friday through Sunday from 12pm to 7pm, consists of seven breweries in Germantown,
East Nashville and the Gulch. “I did lots of research and development by driving around
the figuring out what breweries make sense.” For $45 you can hop on and off the trolley,
staying at breweries at your leisure.
“I spent the first several years proving to the community that we were not a party bus as
you can’t drink on our trolleys due to the fact that we are family and pet friendly. I
wanted to create something I was passionate about, the Nashville beer scene and
community, while still being good stewards to the streets we drive on and the
neighborhoods we travel through. We donate to so many charities throughout each year
which is one of our largest focuses.”
In 2024, Smith expanded the Brew Hop’s offerings with the introduction of the Hop Walk,
a guided walking tour designed to give guests a fresh and immersive way to explore
Nashville’s vibrant brewery scene on foot.

Our trolley drivers and Hop Walk experts are more than just guides—they’re storytellers,
entertainers, and craft beer enthusiasts who are eager to share their knowledge and
love for Music City.
We’ll drink to that.
