Blueberry Mojito from Liquor Lab

Enjoy a refreshing gin-based mojito with blueberry syrup, fresh mint, lime and soda water. It’s ideal for warm-weather entertaining and easy batching for groups, curtesy of Liquor Lab. Liquor Lab offers hands-on mixology classes and events in Nashville.

Blueberry Mojito (Serves 1)

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Gin
3/4 oz Lime Juice
3/4 oz Blueberry Syrup(blueberries, water and sugar)
3/4 oz Lemon Juice
3 Mint Leaves
Soda Water

Garnish: Mint Sprig

Instructions:
1. To make the blueberry syrup bring equal parts blueberries and water (by volume) to a boil until the berries start to crack. For extra flavor, try adding other berries (like raspberries or blackberries.)
2. Fine strain and add equal parts sugar to “berry tea.”.\
3. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
4. Add mint to a shaker and lightly muddle.
5. Add remaining ingredients (except soda) in a shaker with ice and shake for 10-20 seconds until cold. 6. Strain into a Collins glass over fresh ice.
7. Top with soda water and garnish with a mint sprig.
