In Proust’s famous novel, In Search of Lost Time, the scent and savor of a madeleine dipped in lime blossom tea trigger the childhood memories of Marcel, the novel’s narrator. In Noelle’s Makeready, a restaurant named for its printing past, the smells and savors of lasagna take executive chef Chris Neff back to his childhood days, growing up with his Italian family. These memories are the inspiration for Makeready’s new Lasagna Night each Friday. It’s all part of the restaurant’s new program that just began this month. Dinner service now expands to five nights a week, Tuesdays through Saturdays with Tuesdays being half price wine night.
