Ingredients

SERVINGS: 1 Cocktail
  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 1/2 - 3/4 ounce fig jam
  • 4 drops lemon juice, preferably with lemon oil
  • 2 drops black walnut bitters
  • 2 drops Angostura bitters
  • splash club soda

Preparation

1.  Combine all ingredients in shaker with ice. Shake hard. Double strain over large ice cube in rocks glass.
2.  Top with a mere splash of soda water.

*If a little strong, or if fig jam flavor is a little muted, add 1/4 ounce of simple syrup. It will brighten the fig flavor.
**This drink can absolutely be adjusted to taste. If you need more jam, go for it. If you need more brightness, add more lemon.
