Galena Garlic Family
The Galena Garlic Company is a family-owned farm and boutique gourmet ingredients company founded in 2003. Laszlo Marton began growing garlic on the family farm in Galena, Illinois. After selling inside a tiny shop located in Galena's DeSoto Hotel for several years, they were able to open a flagship in 2006. Just two years later the family-operated business continued to grow exponentially as shops popped up in Galena, Illinois and Madison, Indiana.
Fast forward to 2014 when Laszlo's daughter took over. Nina Marton, the new operator of the family business was currently living in Nashville, TN at the time. In 2015 she opened an East Nashville location which to this day continues to serve the greater Nashville community. The online store ships nationally serving a large range of customers from home cooks to professional chefs, including wholesale to proprietary blends.
Today, Laszlo and his wife, Debra Marton have settled in East TN. Their garlic is now grown at Tiny Roots Farm, in addition to the original farm in Galena, Illinois.
To celebrate the 6th anniversary of being in Nashville, TN, all packets of spices and seasonings will be discounted from $7 to $5 each for the entire month of April, in both the East Nashville shop and online.
