Sylvia's BBQ Sauteed Okra

Sylvia uses a combination of oils so that the smoke point is higher.

Ingredients

SERVINGS: 4 Serving(s)
  • 1 pound small okra pods
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon BBQ seasoning (she likes JM THomason Bourbon BBQ seasoning)
  • kosher salt

Preparation

Combine ingredients in a bowl; toss well. Place in a hot cast iron skillet over medium high heat. Sauté 5-10 minutes or until tender and browned.
