Perhaps you’re like my dad and you look forward to your carton of eggnog every year. To that, I say – live your best life. But if you’re like me and the eggnog situation is homemade or bust, please accept this delightful take on a flip.
A flip is a cocktail that uses a whole egg or egg yolk. In this case, the whole egg creates a festive, frothy, nog-like beverage yet so light you’ll find yourself going back for seconds and thirds like Clark Griswold.
1. Prepare *marshmallow syrup by combining 1 cup water, ½ cup sugar, ¾ cup mini marshmallows, and ½ teaspoon vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring often. Remove from heat and let cool.
2. Combine ingredients for cocktail in a shaker. Shake vigorously 50 times. Add ice to shaker and shake again until shaker frosts. Strain into coup glass. Top with cinnamon.
