An agrodolce is an Italian sweet and sour condiment made with fruit, vinegar and sugar. In this case in-season peaches. Recipe excerpted from The Peach Truck Cookbook.
1. To make the agrodolce, heat the olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook for 5 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and 1 tablespoon water. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 10 minutes, or until the onion and peach are very soft. Remove and discard the bay leaf, cloves, and star anise. Serve with grilled pork chops.
