Cheddar Chive Scones

    Ingredients

    • 2 1/2 cupsflour
    • 1 tablespoonsugar
    • 1 tablespoonbaking powder
    • 1 teaspoonsalt
    • 1/2 cup (2 ounces)grated sharp cheddar cheese
    • 8 tablespoonscold butter, cut into small pieces
    • 2 tablespoonsfresh chopped chives
    • 2/3 cupmilk

    1. Preheat overn to 425F. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and. Stir in cheese. Add butter and mix until mixture resembes coarse meal. Add chives and milk and mix until a sticky dough comes together. Don’t over mix. With a ice cream scoop (or spoon) scoop dough into 12 scones. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 12 scones.
