Deep Dark Chocolate Almond Pear Tart
A delicious dessert, perfect served with whipped cream or simply on its own.
1. Core and chop pears. No need to peel. Place in a large saucepan. Add brown sugar and lemon. Place over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Cook for 1 hour. When pears are soft, mash with a hand masher until mixture is chunky. Add cinnamon. Cook another hour, checking frequently until thick and browned. remove from heat. Cool. Place in jars in the refrigerator. yeild about 3 cups preserves.
