Kale Kiwi Smoothie

Kale is high in potassium, iron, vitamin C and K, fiber, folate and linolenic acid. Oh yes, it’s also in season all winter long. 

    Ingredients

    • 2 handfuls kale
    • 1/2 cup apple juice
    • 1/2-1 cup ripe kiwi, pear, banana or apple
    • protein powder (optional)

    Preparation

    1. Toss a generous handful of any kind of kale (stems and all) into a blender with some apple juice. Add ripe pears, banana, kiwi, blueberries, pineapple chunks

    grapes. Blend until smooth. Enjoy.
