Kale Smoothie

Kale is high in potassium, iron, vitamin C and K, fiber, folate and linolenic acid. Oh yes, it’s also in season all winter long. 

    Ingredients

    • 2 handfulskale
    • 1/2 cupapple juice
    • 1/2-1 cupripe pears, kiwi, bananas or apple
    • protein powder, optionalprotein powder, optional

    1. Toss a generous handful of any kind of kale (stems and all) into a blender with some apple juice. Add ripe pears, banana, kiwi, blueberries, pineapple chunks

    grapes. Blend until smooth. Enjoy.
