Why We Love It: The Tennessee Taproom is one of our favorites breweries. Owned and run by Christian Spears, it features over 12 beers on tap. One of their signature brews is their Country Roots beer, which is Sweet Potato Stout made from produce from Delvin Farms. Brewmaster Dr. Laura Burns, came by way of Vanderbilt University and with a degree in Developmental and Cell Biology, she has a unique perspective on beer. She's also instigated yoga in the brewery. Check their web site for schedule. It also has one of the best menus town, going way beyond wings and fries. Chef Jay Mitchell makes Sour Dough Beer bread, that is put to good use in the grilled cheese, and on their signature burger. Music is played their nightly, and darts boards are hung in the same room where the beer is brewed.
