Green Hills Grille
Green Hills Grille proves that dining doesn’t have to be pretentious. Located just south of downtown Nashville in the heart of its namesake, the restaurant is both a local hangout and a destination of choice for those visiting the Green Hills neighborhood.
A beloved Nashville go-to spot for 20 years, the original Green Hills Grille closed its doors in 2008 but reopened in 2015, under the new ownership of Steven Smithing (also owner of Mere Bulles) who like so many of the staff learned the hospitality business at the original restaurant. Smithing wants to bring back the neighborhood feel and community vibe of the original as well as some of the favorite dishes.
The revitalized menu includes many updated twists, but longtime enthusiasts will recognize familiar favorites like the tortilla soup, grilled salmon salad, chicken salad melt, Santa Fe chicken and smoked chicken enchiladas. Newer menu items include flatbreads, sushi, hand-cut steaks and the BLBIGH – the “Best Little Burger in Green Hills. – In keeping with the farm to table trend of the entire nation, the Grille is the first to participate in the Cul2vate program--a new philanthropic garden program that teaches down-on-their-luck adults to garden--then sells the fresh harvest to the Grille. As a result, you'll find several seasonal specials on the menu at all times.
Green Hills Grille is located in the Greenbriar Village Shopping Center and serves lunch and dinner seven days a week with brunch available on Saturday and Sunday.
