During the winter when vegetable scraps aren’t as plentiful, don’t forget these items for your compost pile:

• Coffee grounds and filters
• Pet hair that collects when your animals spend all winter indoors
• Lint from your dryer’s lint guard
• Newspaper (adds carbon)
