This year marks the 22nd annual Tomato Art Fest, set to unfold in East Nashville’s historic Five Points on Friday, August 8, from 5 p.m., and Saturday, August 9, starting at 9 a.m. The two-day celebration is free and open to the public, with a handful of ticketed events adding flair to the weekend.

This isn’t just art on walls. The festival features:
- The Push, Pull & Wear Parade: A colorful procession of tomato-costumed participants rolling or walking through the streets 
- A Bloody Mary Garden Party and hat-decoration contest in Bongo East’s grass lot
- Fun-packed contests like Ugliest Tomato, Haiku, Home Decorating, Costume, Cornhole tournament, and Kids’ Art Show 
- Live music across two stages, with 18 bands from Friday evening through Saturday afternoon 
Bring your walking shoes, your camera, and maybe a tomato hat. With this lineup of art, music, contests, and community, the festival promises something fresh and unexpectedly fun for everyone.
