Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery is hosting a happy hour celebrating cookbooks and the legendary work of local culinary talents for an evening where the worlds of literature, cuisine, and craft cocktails collide—all in support of storytelling and community. WriterFest presents Cocktails & Cookbooks: a lively happy hour fundraiser celebrating the vibrant culinary voices of Nashville and benefiting The Porch, a nonprofit that nurtures writers and readers of all ages through classes and literary events.
This year’s spotlight features:
✨ Chef Brian Baxter, Executive Chef of The Catbird Seat, whose 2024 book In the Catbird Seat: A Nashville Chef’s Journey at the Convergence of Art and Cuisine offers a rare glimpse behind the scenes of one of the country’s most talked-about restaurants.
✨ Mike Wolf, Assistant General Manager, Food & Beverage at Nelson’s, renowned cocktail writer and innovator, known for his seasonal, garden-to-glass approach to mixology and acclaimed titles like Garden to Glass, Barantined, and Cheer: A Liquid Gold Holiday Drinking Guide.
Your ticket includes a signature cocktail crafted just for the event, with more available for purchase. A conversation between Brian and Mike about their work will be featured. Rub elbows with Nashville’s literary and culinary tastemakers, purchase signed books from both speakers, and sip on inspired drinks—all while supporting the future of local storytelling.
