A Study in Green
We love carving bright orange traditional pumpkins and lighting them up for Halloween. But for setting on tables inside I gravitate to the muted orange and green pumpkins at the produce stand. They're more peaceful and sophiticated for the table and go better with more modern styles. When I brought home this green pumpin, I plopped it on the kitchen table next to a small vase of hydrangeas from my yard. The next morning, I noticed some berry-filled branches overhanging the driveway next to the basketball hoop. I snipped them and stuck them in a small mason jar and voila, I had a tablescape in green. Perfect for my sideboard, and for dinner throughout the week. And for Thanksgiving.
