Circle windows give an otherworldly feel to this neighborhood bar in an old mechanic shop.

We finally made it into Otto's Bar after watching its progress on instagram (@ottos_nashville) for almost a year and a half. Owners Louisa and James Green, took an old mechanic shop on Charlotte and 43rd on the west side and converted it into the coolest bar. The rennovation and design was done by James and Louisa themselves and is truly a labor of love. The place was redone from head to toe, while maintaining some of the vibe of its former self with signs, industrial metal drums and concrete floors--although, we would expect no less from the owners of Headquarters Coffee, the coolest little coffee shop in town (located down the street on Charlotte Pike) across the street from The Richland Park Farmer's Market.

Otto's is a great combination of old vs new vs grunge vs sleek. And everything you want in a neighborhood bar. We ordered a couple a local beers on draft and a kombucha and because we had just been at Climb Nashville down the street, some tacos. The tacos were fantastic as was the guacamole. We can't wait to go back when the weather is nice and sit on the sweet little back patio that is bedecked with awnings and picnic tables.
