Hot, delicious, slurpy noodles in broth at Meet Noodles in Hillsboro Village.

One cold rainy February afternoon we were craving ramen (highly unusual :) For some reason we always have a comedy of errors actually acquiring ramen when we want it. This particular day, we met at Otaku, only to find it the 2 hour window (2pm-4pm) that they are closed. Over to Black Dynasty we went. Now conveniently located at Bearded Iris in Sylvan Supply on Charlotte. Oops only serving after 5. (And you better have your phone with you. Another night a freind and I went, situated ourselves at the bar, only to find her phone not working and mine left behind. Can't scan the QR code. Can't order. Can't eat. So off we went.)

Meet Noodles is in the strip of restaurants across from The Belcourt.

This particular drizzly day we then headed to Shokku Ramen in Hillsboro Village. I accidentally parked in the incredilby convenient parking lot (whaaat?) of Meet Noodles across and down from the Belcourt. We went in to the empty restaurant, took a table and realized we meant to be at Shokku Ramen (which we had walked out on for poor service the month before). There was no one in the place so we got seated promptly in a comfy booth. We quickly got served hot tea and menus. We were skeptical and honestly wanted to dart over to Shokku to get ramen, but the Chinese family were so sweet and we felt obligted to stay. And we were so glad we did. With nothing labelled Ramen, we ordered the Chanquin Noodles, where you pick your broth, choice of noodles, meat, chicken, fish or tofu and other add ons. I did the chicken broth, jumbo shrimp, broccoli, while my friend did the same but with bok choy, and the ground seasoned pork. Both (served quickly) were hot, slurpy, flavorful and perfect. We'll be back. Oh, and any time of day. They're open from 11:30 am to 9:30 pm. Booya!
