Caviar and Bananas-Sweet!
We stopped in Caviar & Bananas for lunch this week and while everything looked beautiful and yummy, we kept returning to the pastry case. The bars and cookies looked amazing and best yet, were reasonably priced. The Butterscoth Blondie was almost the size of a small brick and was priced at $3. It could easily be shared amongst 4 freinds (ok, maybe 3). We left with a Macaron ($1.50 each), a Chocolate Drizzled Macaroon, a Banana Blondie, a Peanut Butter (thingy) and the featured cookie, which was the size of a 45 (that's a single record young folks), Spiced White Chocolate. All were just as good as they looked and baked in-house everyday. Oh yes, and we also left with the Duck Confit sandwich from the sandwich station. Also excellent. Stop by for breakfast or lunch or a coffee and a sweet afternoon pick-me-up. It's located next to the new Kimpton Aertson Hotel in Midtown.
