Summer Afternoon Iced Tea Parties at Café 29
Jill Melton
Now through July 31, Cheekwood Estate & Gardens is elevating the classic afternoon tea with its Summer Afternoon Iced Teas, served Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3–4:30 p.m. at Café 29.
How it Works:
Guests reserve tables for two or four and enjoy TennesSweet Food Company’s handcrafted iced tea line alongside a procession of summer-inspired finger sandwiches and fresh-baked sweets.
The tea room opens at 3 p.m. sharp, though you’re welcome to explore the gardens and Mansion before your experience—Cheekwood is open until 5 p.m.
- $50 per person (members and non-members alike) includes your iced tea experience plus entry to the Garden and Mansion.
- Tables accommodate two or four. If your party is smaller, you can still book a larger table and cover the difference.
- Children under age two and strollers aren’t allowed in the tea room. The venue is cashless and gratuity isn’t included.
It’s not just iced tea and snacks—it’s a considered take on summertime sophistication. The tasting menu reflects seasonal flavors, served in a way that lets you linger in Cheekwood’s artful setting without feeling rushed.
How to Book:
Reserve a table online based on your party size, then arrive through Cheekwood’s general admission line—no timed ticket needed. Packages close 24 hours before each date, and availability varies
