Meet Junior: A New Spot From the Rolf and Daughters + Folk Team

“Twelve years ago, we opened the doors at Rolf and Daughters. Five years later, we welcomed Folk. Now, we’re ready for the next chapter: Junior.”

The brand-new concept, Junior, officially opened on Friday, August 15, at 907 Dickerson Pike, just down the street from the newly opened Fancypants (a concept created by the Butcher & Bee founders). Housed in the former Piggly Wiggly, Chef Philip Krajeck and his crew—a team “that speaks the same language of continuity and creativity”—are focusing on local ingredients from long-standing partnerships with surrounding Tennessee farms.

The vision for Junior isn’t just about opening a new spot—it’s about building on what they’ve already done well.

“Junior carries forward the DNA of our kitchens,” the Junior team shared. “Uncompromising sourcing, thoughtful cooking, and a deep commitment to hospitality, while expanding our wine program and gathering an opening team entirely homegrown from our own dining rooms.”

So, with the addition of Junior, they’re continuing their “pursuit of building places that are meant to last,” along with providing a restaurant “crafted with the discipline and intention.”

Here’s a peek at the menu (subject to change).

Food Menu

  • Wellfleet oyster, cucumber, melon ($5)
  • Sweet corn barbaujan, marconi pepper, caper leaf ($6)
  • Tuna collar tostada, flower mignonette ($9)
  • Coppa cotto, sungold mostarda ($13)

The team is clearly aiming to build more than one cultural institution in Nashville—and so far, they’re doing a darn good job of it.
