Fox Restaurant Concepts to open a ‘Culinary Dropout’ in Franklin

Fox Restaurant Concepts, a Phoenix, Arizona-based company founded by restaurateur Sam Fox, is on a roll these days. In June, the restaurant group opened a Flower Child, bringing its healthy, flavor-packed bites to Franklin.

Next up: Franklin is getting a Culinary Dropout.

Culinary Dropout is set to open on September 10 at 4020 Aspen Grove Drive, Suite 101. The concept was introduced in 2010, in the Southwest (in Scottsdale, Arizona), to be a gathering place—a mix of scratch-made comfort food, cocktails, live music, and outdoor games (cornhole, anyone?).

When it comes to the menu, the lineup leans into classic American comfort food—think ribs, fried chicken, barbecue pork belly nachos, and pretzel bites you’ll probably order “for the table” and end up keeping for yourself. Then, some dishes bring in a little Asian flavor, like Korean-style ribeye, Mongolian short ribs, and crispy chicken katsu.

At the bar, there’s a handful of craft cocktails, local and regional beers, and non-alcoholic options. They’ll also be rolling out brunch on the weekends, weekday happy hour deals, and a kid-friendly menu with the usual suspects: chicken tenders, mac and cheese, and more.
