Bearded Iris Brewing to Close its Sylvan Park Location

After several years of pouring beers and building community on the west side, Bearded Iris Brewing has announced that its Sylvan Park location will officially close on Friday, September 26.
The decision to shut the doors at 4101 Charlotte Ave., Suite 40 marks a new chapter for the brewery as it shifts focus back to its original Germantown location.
In a statement shared by co-founders Kavon, Matt, and Paul, the team shared:
“Our Sylvan Park location will have its last day of service this month on Friday, September 26, 2025. It’s been an incredible journey since we opened our second taproom, but our business has evolved so much over the years, and it no longer makes sense for us to be spread out over two locations. As we look to the future, this change allows us to concentrate all of our energy and resources on the place where it all started: our original home in Germantown. After Sylvan’s last service, you’ll start seeing the familiar faces of our Sylvan team members over at Germantown as well, working as one unified team.
“Over the coming months, we’ll begin investing in a new and improved experience at Germantown. We’re already planning some notable upgrades, including adding a permanent kitchen on site and revamping our patio with more shade, new seating, and loads of plant life. These upgrades will take time, and we expect many of them to go live in 2026, but in the meantime, we’ll be sure to provide updates as progress is made.
“Thank you for your continued support! We can’t wait to share our future vision with you all.”
Recap: The Sylvan location will be open Tuesday through Sunday, with an official closure date set for Friday, September 26. Folks are encouraged to stop by for a final round before the doors close for good—and to keep an eye out for what’s brewing next in Germantown.
