Cabin fever? Want to send some local gifts this year? Take a road trip to one of these local markets in charming small towns. You can browse local artisan products, buy local produce and meats and get away from life for a bit.

Green Door Gourmet, (West Nashville), this farm off River Road a stones throw from downtown Nashvile, stocks all sorts of local products in their farm store as well as local seasonal produce from the farm. 

Demeters Common, (Lebanon) this store in brand new digs down the street from the original location reflects the beautiful spirit of owner, Mallory Jennings. Chockful of local produce, meats, sauces, and other edible items, it also has flowers, wreaths, bath and body products and all sorts of delighful local surprises. 

Nourish Marketplace, (Kingston Springs), this store next to our favorite pizzeria, SkyKing, is in the tiny quaint downtown of Kingston Springs. Owned and operated by farmer Sean Daugherty & Sons Farm, it''s full of in season produce, meats, and other artisan products.  

Oh My Chives,  (Nolensville) , located in the growing Nolensville, Oh My Chives is the brainchild of 20-something Angela xx. Local bread, meats, produce and artisan items line the shelves. 

Harbin Hollow, (Joelton) Only 3 months old, Harbin Hollow is run by  who also produces Harbin Hollow Elderberry products. She stocks all sorts of heat and eat items, as well as seasonal items. 

Short Mountain Cultures (Woodbury) this new store in Woodbury, just east of Murfreesboro contains an extensive selection of Short Mountain products, including popcorn, kombucha, fermented items and Kefir. This , in addition to many other local items, including Hatcher Dairy products. while there, explore the many antique shops in Woodbury. 

The Land (Kingston Springs), this charming outdoor gardencenter/local market is a joy to visit. All things outdoors from trees to wreaths, local eats and products, this is a fun trip Every Saturday through December 19 is Winter Wonderland at The Land from 10-4 with Christmas vendors, hot chocolate and more.
