Pecan Cornbread Stuffing

This recipe, courtesy of executive Chef Bart Pickens of Party Fowl, is the perfect Thanksgiving classic.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound butter, melted
  • 1/2 pound onion, diced
  • 1/2 pound celery, diced
  • 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup meat seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons minced thyme
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 1/2 pounds pecans, chopped
  • 1 gallon crumbled cornbread
  • 3/4 cup minced parsley
  • 1 cup chopped green onion

Preparation

Sautee vegetables.

Add seasoning and pecans. Cook until brown.

Add stock and bread herbs. Let cool. Add stuffing and bake.
