The air was hot but the drinks were cool this past Saturday at our first Mini Farm Dinner at The Farm & Fiddle in Fly, Tennessee. Our friends at Uncle Nearest never fail to serve up tasty drinks to our guests, highlighting their premium crafted whiskey.
Ingredients
SERVINGS: 1 Cocktail
- 1 1/2 ounce Uncle Nearest 1884 Whiskey
- 1 teaspoon raspberry preserves
- 1/2 ounce demerara syrup
- 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 2 dashes orange bitters
Preparation
1. Add all ingredients to a shaker. Add ice and shake with unbridled enthusiasm to ensure the breakdown of the raspberry preserves.
2. Double strain into chilled Nick & Nora glass and garnish with a curled orange peel.
Note: Demerara syrup is made by simply stirring demerara sugar into an equal amount of hot water and then allowing to cool before using.
