Kindred Farm Salad Dressings

Christine Bailey loves "picking dinner." And one of their primary crops is a type of lettuce called salanova. And of course with salad, you have to have a good dressing, so here is Kindred Farm's Go-To Vinaigrette and their Honey-Basil Balsamic, great on any salad including a caprese with fresh local tomatoes or Kindred's complete salad

Ingredients

go-to vinaigrette
  • 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 - 1/2 cup acid, like apple cider vinegar, balsamic, champagne, or red wine vinegar, or fresh lemon juice
  • 3 - 4 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • big pinch sea salt to taste
  • cracked black pepper to taste
honey-basil balsamic vinaigrette
  • 6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey
  • 8 - 10 fresh basil leaves
  • sea salt to taste
  • cracked black pepper to taste

Preparation

1.  To prepare the Go-To Vinaigrette, add all ingredients to a large jar with a lid. Close lid tightly and shake hard, until creamy and blended. 

2.  To prepare the Honey-Basil Balsamic Vinaigrette, place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high about 10 seconds until creamy. Pour over salad and toss lightly.
