Why We Love It: Provence Breads & Café opened its doors in 1996 and continues to bake from scratch some of the finest-quality artisan breads and pastries in Nashville.

Their specials change based on what is fresh and locally available. Stop in at one of their locations either in Hillsboro or Church Street and grab a French Macarons and some artisan bread. They also have Nitro cold brew made with Intelligentsia’s El Diablo dark roast and fused with pure nitrogen for a smooth, velvety taste. Or go big and hire them for your next party. They just changed their catering menu, and there's plenty of delectable things that will have your guest saying "Wow." With pastries, cookies, and gourmet cakes there is little they don't do.

Provence Breads & Café was established in 1996 by Terry Carr-Hall and a group of financiers who had the single goal of establishing a world class bakery specializing in artisan breads and pastries. The inspiration for Provence came from a summer spent at l’Ecole Française de Boulangerie d’Aurillac, a French baking school specifically for French Artisan Breads. After spending time apprenticing in a number of Boulangeries and Patisseries in the south of France, the idea was born to capture the region’s unique flavors in both foods and baking. Fortunately, they brought these unique flavors to Nashville.

Don't think these flavors only come in sweets. They also serve breakfast and lunch with items such as French toast and Croque Monsieur, and, like every good cafe, they serve soups and salads. Plus if you want one of their sandwiches but don't have time to eat in house, you can get one that is already prepared and ready to go. Check it out and let their team and our team know what you think on social media.
