Saving Grace, a Benefit for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

Each year, Innovo Management and The Saving Grace Project team up to raise funds for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) through an annual benefit concert featuring local artists and vendors. This impactful event began in November 2015 after the loss of a dear friend and songwriter in the Nashville and Belmont University community, Grace Evans. What began as a healing process in memory of our friend has turned into a collective effort that culminated in the annual benefit concert, Saving Grace.

The Saving Grace Project helps initiate conversations about mental illness, builds support and awareness in the greater Nashville community, and raises funds for various resources provided by the AFSP. This year, on October 20th at the Exit/In, we will again honor Grace, and all of those we have lost to suicide through music and fellowship. The project has shown tremendous growth over the last two years, and has continued to gain and stimulate enough community response that we are projecting triple the amount of donations and attendance from this years show to last. With bigger sponsors, a bigger venue, and a fresh, dynamite line up featuring acts such as Ghost Note, Dynamo, Jonathan Scales Fourchestra, and the Aquaducks, this years event is sure to be a night to remember!

Suicide is the second leading cause of death for people ages 25-34 in Tennessee, and is the 10th leading cause of death nationally. This is an epidemic, and we have the power to make a change. The Saving Grace Project, the AFSP, and other organizations with similar missions strive to make these changes by destigmatizing mental illness through conversation, education, research, and community.
