Cinco de Mayo Feast

Join us for a Cinco de Mayo celebration of Mexican cuisine with an afternoon feast prepared by our guest chef Krista Wilson, Executive Chef and Owner of Florinda's Cocina (see full menu below). Guests will eat at their leisure from a buffet and can enjoy their food at open tables that will be located in the beautiful backyard garden, weather permitting. Guests will also enjoy strawberry margaritas by Kindred Bar Catering and a live performance by our musical guest Presley, who will perform at 2:30pm.

"Florinda's Cocina is offering the Nashville area some of the freshest, most flavorful Mexican food in Tennessee, and it's authentic enough to make you think you've flipped to the other side of the border. Owner Krista Wilson named the truck after her grandmother, who taught her all the skills she uses now, in the kitchen of her San Antonio home. Now Krista brings her Tex Mex-influenced but traditionally grounded cuisine east, and all the flavors that go along with it. From tacos to enchiladas to street corn, it's street food brought back to the streets, one stop at a time. Krista Wilson is Executive Chef and owner of Florinda's Cocina and Delish catering. She has over 10 years of restaurant experience. She has cooked in several premierrestaurants including F. Scotts and Wild Iris in Nashville, Zooma and Pane e Vino in Providence, RI and Napa River Grille in Louisville, Kentucky. She is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island with a Culinary Arts degree. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky.
About our Guest Artist
Presley is a Nashville singer-songwriter who has been playing music since the age of five, when she started piano lessons. By the age of 12 she was writing songs consistently and soon graduated from a performing arts high school with a major in creative writing. In college she taught herself guitar and formed an elctro-pop band, Ignis and the Leopluradon. She then branched off as a solo singer-songwriter and began performing around LA at venues such as the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip, the Pig N’ Whistle and Bar Pico in Santa Monica. After a five year hiatus from music, Presley packed all of her things in her car and began a cross-country open-mic roadtrip to Nashville. She has since officially relocated from LA to Tennessee, where she songwrites and performs all over the city.
